Dated 1832, a diminutive Upsala, Swedish trunk in Nordic pine with original paint. It has hand painted initials and decorative floral accents, retains the original iron hinges, and has square nail construction. It is probably a marriage chest made for a bride in the year of her wedding, 1832. This almost 200 year old chest is a beauty. The quality craftsmanship is apparent in the dovetail construction, iron work, and lovely painting. We've not seen another one like it!
