Souvenir of Havana Cuba 4-1/2" earthy orange butterscotch Bakelite combination pencil pocketknife is in fine & working condition. Excellent functioning pencil but the lead is absent. The mechanical tip is nickel. Shaped like a baseball or cricket bat, one handle is plain and the other handle is marked in gold leaf paint, "Souvenir of Habana". The gold is worn but still quite legible. The knife blade is unmarked and unsharpened with good snap. The blade is oxidized and has some mild rust along the length. It retains it's original factory edge. The stanhope image is a clear view of an early 20th century topless nude woman. The stanhope lens microphoto is marked "Made in France" along the lower right side.
This pocketknife pencil combination tool is in very fine condition and though it has no manufacturer markings, it was made by Palmax of Solingen Germany between the times of 1890-1915. It is a nice collectible piece and would be a nice addition to any pocketknife, stanhope, baseball, Cuba, or Pencil collection.
