Antique Stanhope Paper knife Letter Opener is a miniature deer hoof and leg. The black hoof and matching ferrule are comprised of bakelite or similar early plastic and the blade is a tortoise-shell celluloid. The stanhope is located in the hoof shows a micro view of three Victorian Era Ladies who are posed nude on the pedestal of a Roman style column. They are all quite attractive for the time and each one is wearing flowers in their hair. There are some breasts to be seen but the highlight would have to be their beautiful and robust butts. Both the letter opener and the stanhope lens view are in excellent condition. This stanhope was restored by Stanhope MicroWorks using all original parts.
