This is a like new, mint condition gold-plated circa 1960's stanhope Lord's Prayer cross pendant. The stanhope prayer is completely clear and easy to see. The prayer is marked "MADE IN FRANCE". Gold-tone and gold plated stanhope crosses are much less common than their silver counterparts. This one is a ribbon sort of design that is sporadically checkered, making it wholly a bit flashy. There are four clear (and not yellowed) chaton crystal rhinestones surrounding the stanhope and five tiny turquoise pearl-ettes adorning the arms. I assume these are faux turquoise beads like those made by Swarovski and other Austrian crystal companies. The 16 inch long necklace chain that accompanies this near perfect pendant is gold-plated as well. The condition of the chain however is less impressive. It has a few dark areas that appear more black (oxidation) than gold and there may be a "funny" or kinked link or two. This is a nice pendant to collect, gift, or wear. The chain is not so nice but is included as it came to us this way. It could be easily changed to be worn again.
This piece measures 44mm tall x 30mm wide x 7mm thick and weighs 8.3 grams.
