This tall 2-handled comport highlights the graceful Elaine etching. Both the blank #3500, also known as Gadroon and the etch, Elaine, were popular and long-lived. The plate etching Elaine was introduced in 1933 and likely ran until 1949 when the last catalog references are found. Elaine was a popular pattern and was found on many stem lines and serving pieces, gracing many tables in that era. It was rarely produced on any color other than crystal. Given the crispness and detail of the stem, this comport likely has an early manufacture date. It stands 7.5” tall and is 9” across the tabs. Excluding the tab extensions the diameter is 7.5”. The comport is in pristine condition.
