Offered is an atmospheric lithograph of Provincetown by John Worthington Gregory (American, 1903-1992). The artwork itself measures 6" x 4.75" and framed, the piece measures 16.5" x 13.5". The lithograph is signed and dated 1937 lower right and hand titled, "Provincetown from Wharf" lower left. The piece is beautifully framed and other than a few tiny dots of foxing on the mat, condition is excellent. Please note that the work has not been examined out of the frame. Also, the piece was photographed though the glass which always affects the quality of the image to some extent.

Gregory was a Provincetown, MA lithographer, photographer, and writer who trained under John Sloan at the Art Students League in NYC. He exhibited extensively and is represented in numerous public and private collections across the US. During his career he was an instructor at Hunter College and also a photographer for Time Magazine.
