Heavenly loading, heavy and bold a necklace of 9 strands, this very stunning cultured fresh water Biwa pearl necklace, rare finds of natural colors and excellently selective, smooth and pretty pearls, strung by a 14 KT yellow gold and diamond clasp, stamped, one of the finest and also pretty heavy and bold clasp vintage of the 70's.
Gold etching design with motif ends of surrounded diamonds, of cylinder oval entire piece, a push-in tongue with turned functioning for closer, highly polished gold, extra well made. Its size, 25 mm length, 20 mm diameter. Each side, 12 diamonds, total 24 round white, old cut and also old paved set, invisible, smoothly finish, about 0.55 ct. wt. The clasp alone retailed for $1550. The very uniformed cultured Biwa pearls, very fine in Roundel form natural mauve color, or commonly pink, with lots of iridescent and high luster, various seashell colors overtones. Pearl size of 6 mm, well matched. Necklace measures 20 inch length, thickness in tight about 1 inch, loose 2 inches.
