Offering a vintage New Haven Mantle Clock. In good working condition. It has 2 rods and hammers that strike 2 different notes as it counts out the hours. It also strikes each rod once to mark the half hour. The New Haven label is inside the back door. There are also 2 dates on the inside of the door. One is on a sticker and says: 3/21/79. The other date appears to be in pencil, and reads: 9/14/41. We believe those to be service dates.
Although the clock works well, appearance is rough. The face is badly stained. The metal rings on the front also show lots of wear. Also when closing the front glass, you have to lift a little to get it to close snugly. It sticks on opening too. The wood cabinet, though solid and intact, could use refinishing. The clock measures 19 7/8" wide. 5 3/4" deep at its maximum. And 9 1/4" tall.
