A cute little monkey charm dating back to the Edwardian era, early 1900's circa! The charm is made of 9k gold and the gold colour is a lovely antique yellow with subtle rose hue. The petite charm has a delightful 3-dimensional design. The detailed repousse surface displays a facial profile, rounded belly, legs, arms, back, and grasping little toes. Adding a further realistic look is the textured surface resembling fur. The monkey is in a squat position with his hands covering his ears. He resembles the little fella ‘'hear no evil” or 'kikazaru' known in Japan, one of the popular three wise monkeys. A curved rail frames the monkey and a small ring and jump ring attaches to the top allowing it to hang on either a bracelet or chain. There is an oval plaque placed to the bottom of charm and stamped with "9CT" - denoting 9k gold. The charm is hollow in construction .
Perfect for the avid monkey lover! A cute little antiquity monkey which is becoming increasingly hard to find.
