A charming English gemstone ring, dating to the romantic mid Victorian era, c1869! The ring is crafted in 12k yellow gold in a cluster design and accented with a beautiful mix of coloured gemstones. Centred is one oval faceted purplish rose almandine garnet, surrounded with six seed pearls and two cushion-cut green doublets, also known as garnet topped doublets (imitating emerald!), and placed either side of almandine garnet. The intricate and very delicate cluster design features applied gold wirework and gold granules, adding further charm is the pierced and cross-over design shoulders, as well the hand-engraved shank.

The ring bears full English hallmarks for Birmingham origin, dated 1869, and millesimal mark for 12k gold. There is a makers mark which is difficult to decipher, possibly ending with '&P'. The head of ring measures 10.50mm north to south x 13.30mm east to west. Finger size measures 11 +1/4 (USA) W+(AUS).

A charming Victorian ring steeped with endearing history. A perfect gift for someone special!
