This beautiful antique brooch dates to late Victorian era, circa 1898 and originates from Chester, England. The brooch is made in 15k yellow gold and is hallmarked Chester, dated 1898. The wonderful bar design features three gemstones in a rectangular shaped plaque across centre. Interspaced along the rectangle with two oval pretty violet blue Sapphires and one fine white old-cut Diamond. A plain double bar and twisted bar along centre makes up the rest of brooch. As well, adding further Victorian flair is the small granules, placed at each end bar, and larger granules at the ends of the rectangle plaque. There is a safety chain/pin connected for extra security. A metal pin and "C" loop is attached at the back.
An elegant ladies brooch which would add a regal touch to any garment.

GEMSTONE: Two natural Sapphires, 'Ceylon' type, faceted oval-cut measuring approx 2.50mm -2.70mm x 2.20mm, pale-mid violet blue colour, approx 0.10cts each. ,
One old-cut natural Diamond measuring approx 2.10mm, 0.04cts estimated weight and approx F/H colour, SI clarity.

CONDITION: The brooch remains in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or stones, and the pin works well with good tension
