A gorgeous ring boasting one juicy carnelian gemstone! The ring started it's life as a brooch, but has since been nicely converted into a more desirable, impressive ring with a strong Art Deco influence, dating to around 1930's circa. The eye is drawn towards the juicy burnt orange carnelian gem - a unique elongated eight sided shape. The polished and faceted carnelian is semi-translucent and has a beautiful vitreous lustre at varying angles. Sitting either side of carnelian is gold geometric-form shoulders, their placed on an angle which adds a further dimension to ring. A solid rounded 2mm wide band makes up the rest of ring. Head of ring measures 18.10mm north to south.
Ring is crafted in 9k and 18k yellow gold - the setting and shoulders made of 9k yellow gold and the band 18k yellow gold. Stamped "18c" to band and "9CT" "APE" to setting. Finger size measures 8 1/2 (USA) or Q 1/2 (AUS), resizable to a degree.
