A feminine aquamarine and pearl pendant dating back to the early 20th century - Edwardian era with a touch of Art Nouveau elegance! The pendant started it's life suspended from a rock crystal necklace, it has since been removed to transform into this simple, yet very chic pendant.
Pendant features a beautiful natural aquamarine gemstone. The aquamarine is a faceted tear-shape, it is a very subtle blue hue. It measures 13mm long x 7.40mm wide, approximate weight is 2.50 carats. The aquamarine is set into a 'scalloped' claw setting, it suspends from a gold rod attaching to a stylized wire forming scrolls. A sweet tulip-like figure graces the centre- which is further adorned with a seed pearl. Ring attaches to top.
The pendant is handcrafted in 9k gold and the colour is the wonderful warm rose with hint of yellow. There are some stamps along side of rod, possibly the Australian 'wheat bundle' and "9" and another difficult to decipher.
