Elegance and femininity are a few words to describe this vintage 'Three Graces' ring! The ring dates back to the 60's and features a shell cameo of the 'Three Graces' dancing and draped in flowing gowns. The Graces in Roman mythology are known as The Charities and were the beautiful daughters of the Greek god Zeus and the nymph, Eurynome, his third wife. Their names were Aglaia meaning splendor or beauty, Euphrosyne meaning festivity or mirth, and Thalia meaning rejoicing or good charity.
The ring is beautifully crafted in 9ct yellow gold. Cameo is bezel set with a bamboo frame, the dome profile shank forms into an elegant split at the shoulder. English hallmarked - Birmingham origin and maker's mark "CG & S" indicating Birmingham jeweller 'Charles Green and Son'
