This charming horseshoe brooch dates back to Edwardian era, approx circa 1910. Symbols were very popular during the Edwardian era (and many periods before) with the horseshoe representing good luck, also horses were a way of life- a fact of daily existence whether it was travel, work or play. T
This double bar design brooch features two horseshoe's with an entwined wire below; one horseshoe is set with seed pearls and other set with royal blue sapphire paste gems (imitating sapphires) . This horseshoe brooch is more than likely English origin, it is made from 9ct yellow gold with a soft rose hue. Brooch measures 44.7mm/ or 1 7/6" long
