Comments: This ravishing bangle gathers 7 bracelets in one. Four of them present a beautiful work of flowery engraving and the three others are plains. The link was engraved at the back with the name: Monique Liottard, probably the former owner of this charming bracelet.
We call this kind of bracelet a Semainier, for the 7 days of the week. The number 7 also symbolises perfection and protection. This bangle was made during the Art Nouveau period. Art Nouveau is an artistic movement applied to the decorative arts, featured with a predominant theme: the free flowing line. Artists tried to find movement into woman's hair, feminine curve, nature.
