The dragonfly became a popular motif during the Victorian era; it is believed that dragonflies reflect change and transformations in life, specifically embracing change rather than fearing it. This delicate dragonfly moves with grace as its wings flit and flutter in different directions.
This brooch is made of 18kt gold and silver; there are 4 emeralds in total (two of them being the eyes), 3 rubies with the main one weighing approximately 0.40ct and the wings are set with rose cut diamonds weighing a total carat weight of 2.30ct.
