This ravishing ring features an enamelled snake. His head is adorned with 2 diamonds on his head. This adorable ring is a real testimony of the Victorian period. Snakes may frighten a lot but they were a universaly popular expression of an eternal love and were considered as a powerful symbol of wisdom and protection. The prince Albert proposed the Queen Victoria with an emerald snake ring as the engagement ring, since this time, snakes rings became very popular all along the Victorian era.
