This ring is just lovely. It is very sparkly and refined. It is made in 18kt gold and platinum. It is a Marquess ring : its name comes from the smile of the Marquise de Pompadour, the mistress of the French king Louis XV who offered her a ring of the same shape of her delicate smile. This ring features in its center 3 old Mine cut diamonds for a total of 0,30 ct approximately surrounded with rose cut diamonds. The platinum enhances the brightness of the sparkling diamonds.
The ring weighs 4,6 gr and its size 58,5/ 8,5. It measures 26,1 (1) x 21,6 (0,8) x 17,4(0,6) mm (inch) It is in good antique condition. It is marked with the rare French horse's head, used in France between 1838 and 1911. It was made at the very beginning of the 20th Century.
