This ravishing medal features the two lovers drawn by the Parisian graphic designer Raymond Peynet. Les Amoureux were designed in 1942 and they become famous all around the world. The drawing was reproducing in many different forms : porcelain, scarves, dolls, medals etc. They symbolizes the French roman. Here a lovely Cupid bring a heart from the man to the woman : how charming it is The medal is in very good condition. The back is plain and you could engraved your lover's name, if desired. It weighs 1,2gr and it measures 23,3 (0,9) x 16 (0,6). The hinge is marked with the French eagle's head and the maker's mark is clearly legible : C / a blackberry with leaves / M : for Murat, a French jeweler (Book : Dictionnaire des poinçons, p.40).
