Heritagem presents :
This stunning Art Déco pin brooch is made in platinum, diamonds and onyx. The design is very geometric and revealing of the Art Déco period, circa 1925. There are 26 old cut diamonds, weighing approximately 1,40ct (H/SI) and 8 tappers of onyx. The stones are perfectly set into a millegrain setting, which is very refined. The style remind us the back of an arrow : the fletchings. This kind of jewel could be the property of a gentleman of the upper class in France or of a French magistrate. Actually, those brooches were used to attach the jabot on the collar. Nowadays, it could simply wear on a black jacket, or on your little black dress for the evening : what pizzazz !
It weighs only 6,10 gr and bears the French mark for platinum : the Mascaron's head (an old bearded man). In pristine condition, it measures 77,50 mm long / 3 inches by 12,65mm by 3,60 mm. You can free one of the fletching thanks to a very discreet clasp and it closes securely with a snap.
