Heritagem presents :
This unique Victorian comb is made in horn and features a beautiful crescent on its top. This one is moving upside down in order to maintain the hair. It is completely original and very characteristic to the period, c.1880. The crescent moon is associated with the Goddess Diana, the goddess of the hunt and twin sister of Apollo, god of the Arts. The same figure was worshiped by the Romans as Luna, the moon Goddess.
It weighs 8,7gr and it is in very good condition. It measures 10,2 cm closed and 12,5 cm when it is open. The crescent is 3,6cm large.
