Edwardian Duchess Diamonds ring, 18kt gold and platinum, circa 1905.

A ravishing Duchess Diamonds ring. Why do we call this kind of ring a Duchess ring ? Because it simply refers to the Ducal crown we can see on the blazon of duke. It is closed to the Fleur de Lys design, the symbol of the French monarchy. Here's this ring is adorned with old mine cut diamonds. There is a total carat weight of 1,30ct approximately. The biggest one is around 0,70ct, color I/J with a good clarity : VS. The shoulders of the ring are set with rose cut diamonds. They are set on platinum and the corpse of the ring is made in 18kt white gold. The ring was controlled with the French hallmark : the owl for 18kt gold. It weights 5,4gr.
.It sizes 58 / 8 and it measures25,32 (0,99) x 22,15 (0,87) x 13,92 (0,54) mm (inch). It is in good condition. It was made during the Edwardian period, at the very beginning of the 20th century. How refined is this ring ! You will love wearing it, even if you re not a duchess... We all are in our lover's heart ;).
