An attractive 19th century Mauchline ware thread cradle with a transfer of the two bridges at Newcastle which is in the
North of England. The two bridges span the River Tyne. One being a high level bridge and the other a swing bridge. The
swing bridge which was made to open to allow shipping to proceed to tbe docks. The swing bridge was erected in 1876
and the high bridge which is for the railway and road use was erected in 1845-9.
The little cradle which is being used as a thread cradle could also be used for a little doll. The cradle is in good condition for
its age and measures 4.5" long x 2.75" high.
