This is one sweet baby doll from the heyday of composition American baby dolls. Marked “Horsman Dolls” on the back of the neck. Flirty glassine eyes glance back and forth under smoky eyeshadow and eyelashes. Her auburn mohair wig is in its original set.
Smooth paint reveals very little in the way of crazing. The body has no repaint or repairs, and what may be a remnant of a paper label remains on the leg. The cryer doesn’t function in the body, but is present.
She wears her original cotton gown, with a slip underneath. The slip has some faint light-blue spots on it. The gown pins in the back, and is clean and fresh. Pink ribbon trims the front of it. White cotton booties cover her feet.
