Stunning and very rare Britannia (above Sterling) silver "rat tail" table spoon. Fully hallmarked for maker William Petley in London, in the year 1699. The stem is in a so called dog nose design. The top of the stem is engraved with initials, perhaps used as a wedding spoon with the initials of the bride and groom.
A very rare spoon!
