This is a pair of Danish vinaigrettes a k a Hovedvandsaeg. Made in solid silver mid-late 1700s. Both with rubbed/worn maker's marks. Engraved in the base with the initials of the bride and groom to be. (These little boxes were given by young men as a love token declaring their intentions of marriage. Today many wedding couples use them as ring boxes.)
One in great condition, only one or two tiny dings. The other one has an old repair close to the base, please see last photo.
