This beautiful round locket dates to the mid-Victorian period, circa 1860. The front features a diamond-set Forget-Me-Not flower on a sea of blue guilloché enamel. A glass-fronted locket compartment can be found on the back, with space for a photograph or other memento. It's a wonderful locket, stylistically very typical of the era and was likely made as a memorial piece.
