Georgian, c.1820 An exceptional early 19th Century locket, with a central pear-shaped diamond (set to look like a heart) within a halo of rose cuts and an outer halo of natural pearls. The front is finished in fine guilloché enamel - a vitreous Royal Blue in colour - while the back features a locket compartment, and a geometric "roulette curve" pattern within its own halo of blue enamel. The pearls are perfectly matched and the craftsmanship is outstanding, it dates to the early 19th Century, circa 1820, and remains complete with the original pearl-set bail.
