Art Nouveau Conversion, c.1900
A beautiful turn of the Century necklace, modelled in the Art Nouveau style. The subject is a lady's head, in profile, surrounded by a burst of lilac plique-á-jour enamelling. The level of detail is spectacular, and the styling is very typical of the movement and it was likely made in France. My favourite feature, though, is that the lady is wearing a necklace set with real rose cut diamonds.
