Here is a 1960's needlepoint purse with a gold tone frame and chain handle. The entire purse is wool except for a fine braid around the sides that may be silk thread. The outer floral ring is typical of needlepoint work where the yarn is quite thick. The flowers in the center are done with finer yarn that is similar to petit point. The colors are much more vibrant than the photos show. It has a gold tone frame that opens and closes with a pearl clasp encased in gold tone filigree. The handle is a textured gold tone chain. The inside is lined with satin and has two pleated envelope compartments. The label inside indicate that it was custom made for someone. The measurements are: 11" X 9" X 2.50". The chain is 13" long. It is in excellent condition with no signs of wear at all.
