Here is genuine brown alligator purse designed by Valentino Garavani. He received his formal training in Paris and then returned to Rome in 1960 to establish his fashion house. This purse has a desirable and rare trapezoid shape. The skins are in beautiful condition with no splitting. The closure is also very unique. The V lifts up and the two tabs come away and then the purse can be pulled apart and opened. The inside is lined with genuine brown leather. In addition to the main compartment is a small zipper one with a plaque that reads V Valentino Garavani. There are four feet on the bottom. The purse measures 8 3/4" from top to bottom. Across the bottom it measures 8 3/4" and tapers down to 7 1/2" at the top. It is 3 1/2" wide at the sides and tapers down to 1 1/2" at the top. The shoulder strap is 38 3/4" X 5/8". It is in remarkably good condition for its age. The only issues that I can see are slight wear on the corners and two breaks in the strap that I have shown in a photo.
