Pedro Castillo worked under William Spratling and Hector Aguilar and established his own workshop in the 1940's with thirteen silver smiths working for him. He also sold his work at the Rancho Alegre, the largest silver shop in Taxco at the time. This pin measures 1 7/8" X 1 1/4" and weighs 13.39 grams. It is fully hallmarked on the back: Hecho En Taxco Mexico (difficult to read) around the initials PC, Sterling, 152, and the eagle assay mark with the number 120. Swivel clasp works well and is tight. Beautiful original patina.
