This 1920's skull cap is made of very thin woven black grosgrain ribbon. Interspersed throughout are dime size iridescent sequins. The top of the crown has a pin wheel design. Inside around the top of the crown is a round wire that is sewn on to the hat. About one quarter of the wire it is not sewn. I don't see any loose stitches so maybe this is how it is supposed to be. The depth of the crown is approximately 6". The hat is slightly stretchy so it would fit a variety of head sizes. There are some broken ribbon loops along the edge but other than that it is in quite good condition.
