Morton Myles started his own business in the early 1960's. He became more well known when Jackie Kennedy appeared in one of his dresses on the cover of Look magazine in 1961. This evening suit is made of a light peach satin moire fabric and features two rhinestone buttons on the jacket. The skirt is a straight style and closes with an invisible zipper at the back. At the waistband are two hook and bar closures with a hook and eye. The waistband is a little wider on the front. The jacket is a peplum style and has concealed shoulder pads. The sleeves are wider at the shoulder and taper down to the cuff. Around the edge of the peplum are eight rows of stitching that give it a quilted effect. Both the skirt and the jacket are fully lined. It is a stated size 6. The measurements are:
SKIRT: Waist 30.75, Hips 36", and Length 27.50".
JACKET: Armpit to armpit 32", Waist 32", Sleeve Length 21.75, Length from back of neck 22.50", and Across back of shoulders 16.25". The sleeve is 11" wide at the top and tapers down to 4.50" at the cuff.
