Margot De Taxco opened her shop in 1948. In 1955 she added her enamel on sterling line. Her workshop included 20 silversmiths, among them Jeronimo Fuentes. His signature is a J and an F put together. This swordfish pin is crafted of sterling with a yellow and caramel guilloche enamel overlay. It measures from back of fin to edge of nose 1 7/8". The width is 1 1/8". What is interesting is that there is a little reinforcement bar on the back of the pin that covers the part that connects the tail to the fish so that it won't snap off. It is stamped in a circle Sterling Mexico with 925 in the center. On the back of the tail is the assay eagle number 3 for Taxco, Mexico. Excellent condition with no damage to the enamel.
