A Japanese fukusa is a woven square of silk that is traditionally used to cover a ceremonial gift. It is a combination of gift wrap and a greeting card. I have also seen them made into pillows or used as a table cover. The background is a burnt orange color. White circles are filled with various flora and fauna of Japan. Two of the sides of the square are rolled under and stitched and the other two are not. It measures 27" square. It has a label with Japanese writing. Excellent condition.
