Diane Freis is known for making these wonderful free flowing peasant style dresses in one size fits all. She combines many different colors and patterns that would not normally be found together. The fabric is 100% polyester. The 2" wide waist is elasticized. The 3/4 length sleeves are quite full with elastic at the bottoms. There are very thin shoulder pads. The bottom part of the dress is pleated and ends with a flirty hem. There are two tassels coming from the back of the neck that can just hang down or be tied into a bow. Even though the dress is one size fits all it looks best on someone who is at least a size 10 or else quite tall. I am 5'4", a size 8 and it is a little too much fabric for me. The flat measurements are as follows: Armpit to armpit 38", Waist 22 (stretches to 38"), Length from back of neck 51", Sleeve length 19". In the 1980's these dresses cost around $700.00.
