This set of three framed butterflies was made by Sungott Art Studios of NY in the 1950's. Sungott Art Studios was the distributor and the works were sold through department stores, furniture stores and gift shops. Each of the butterflies is mounted on a beige velvet like material. There is a slightly reverse concave piece of glass over that. The frames are made of wood that has been painted gold and given an antique like finish. The frames are 1 1/4" thick. Measured from the back they are 4 1/4" in diameter. One has some issues. There is a hairline crack in the frame, there is some discoloration on the beige velvet and the glass has two what look like shallow chips under it near the bottom.
