This Japanese obi is made of two different type of silk fabrics. The top layer is a paisley print and the back layer is a solid cocoa brown color. On the back at the one end are several Japanese characters. This may be the name of the artist who made the obi. On the back the silk is shattered along the one end and it is starting on the other end also. There is a stain on the paisley side near the end that I have shown in the last photo. Measures 12" X 147".
