A Japanese Fukusa is a woven square of silk that is traditionally used to cover a ceremonial gift. It is a combination of gift wrap and a greeting card. I have also seen them made into pillows or just laid on a table. This one features a Kabuki actor. The top and bottom edges are sewn under but the sides are not. Measures 26" square. Excellent condition.
