I bought this item recently in Toronto because I thought that it was very interesting and has a great tribal look to it. I've tried to do some research on it and have found that it is Turkish. The main part of it is a hand made miniature silk Oriental rug. At the top and the bottom is a metal bar with an eagle's head on all four corners and a row of camels across. At the bottom are five hanging charms. The middle one is the eagle head again and the other four are feathers. On the back of every feather is impressed the word OZMETAKS which I believe is a Turkish word. The size of just the silk fabric piece is 4 1/2" X 3 7/8". The metal bars are 1/2" wide and 4 1/8" long. The eagle charm is 3 1/2" long. Excellent condition. I don't usually list items that I know little about but I couldn't resist with this one. If anyone has any more info please don't hesitate to let me know.
