This beautiful Amber & Ruby lead crystal glass Vase was made between 1830 - 1870. The Vase is of excellent craftsmanship and and the thick lead crystal glass is hand cut and engraved with fine pattern, flowers and two wildlife scenes. These decorations are cut out of the colored glass which has been applied as a covering layer over the clear crystal. After FIRING the thin amber and ruby layer was cut away to reveal the clear glass beneath.
One of the two wildlife scenes show a male deer running. The other one shows a female deer running. between those two scene there are very detailed and intricate flower bouquets engraved in the ruby ovals.
Condition: The vase has a beautiful sparkle and is in very good condition. There is only a tiny chip in the Amber (only 1/32" big). PLEASE SEE PICTURES
