This magnificent Large Meissen Plate, its center is decorated with hand painted Dresden type roses and spring flowers, was made between 1924 and 1934 - The so called "Pfeifferzeit" (the time when Max Adolf Pfeiffer was the Director of the company). The beautiful handpainted flower bouquet is surrounded by a gold encrusted band of Flowers and Rococo designs. The Porcelain under the gilt is elevated and give the plate more depth - almost like a relief.
Measures approximately 11 1/2" diameter and 1 1/2" tall.
Condition: It is is Mint Condition without any cracks, chips or damage to the paint or gilt. It is seldom to find a piece of this age in absolute mint condition without any wear or tear. (PLEASE SEE PICTURES - Shadow in the images seen is not actual discoloration, but is a reflective distortion)
