This rare antique Shot or Liqueur Glass is called a "Wachtmeister" or "Kutscherstumpen". It is a typical North German glass from the end of the 18th to the beginning of the 19th Century. The translation of the word "Wachtmeister" is constable and of the word "Kutscherstumpen" is coachman shot glass. This comes because they were typical glasses to be carried around in those professions, so the owner was always be able to have a drink with someone.
It was handblown and has a bubble of air incased in its hollow shaft. It shows the typical irregularities of handblown glass. It was made out of clear glass.
Condition: The glass has a beautiful sparkle and is in very good condition. Only a few antique irregularities - typical for handblown glass - PLEASE SEE PICTURES
