A stunning Victorian Top Hat made from beaver fur with creme silk lining. The underside of the brim is creme colored leather. There is a black silk grosgrain ribbon around the base of the hat - where it meets the brim and the edges of the brim are also silk grosgrain. The exterior of the hat is in excellent antique condition. The interior of the hat has some discoloration and staining. The printed makers mark on the inside reads: August Pier Fernsprecher 386 Soest.
Gorgeous tan leather carrying case with working lock and key. The interior is green silk with straps with brass buckles to secure the hat inside. The case features a leather handle on the top lid, a strap that runs across the top and a round brass piece locks into the body of the case. The case stands 10 inches tall (at the highest point). The circumference of the case measures 40 inches.
