Almost 500 years old and amazing in detail. This woodcut was handcolored and shows a civet with a discription in German. Yes, a civet is the animal which eats coffee beans and turns them through digestion into the most expensive coffee in the world (Kopi Luwak). It is double sided page (cap16) of Peter Andr. Matthiolis Book of Herbs.
Condition: It is in good antique condition with nice color and light tanning giving it a vintage look.
