This rare German Cuirass Pair (Breastplate and Back-plate) is a beautiful piece of history. It is dated to 1858 and has an additional engraved inscription. It is made of steel with bronze studs. It comes most likely from Germany. Cuirassiers were cavalry equipped with armour and firearms, first appearing in late 15th-century Europe.
