This magnificent Belle Epoque Britannia metal Vase has beautiful floral repousse work & engravings. It is made out of Britannia metal (also called britannium or Britannia ware). It is a pewter-type alloy favoured for its silvery appearance and smooth surface. The composition is approximately and typically 92% tin, 6% antimony, and 2% copper. In addition to the amazing floral repousse work & engravings it has two very decorative handles. It dates back to the second half of the 19th Century. The origin of it is Continental Europe most likely France or Germany. Incredible Decoration for a stunning room.
Condition: In good antique condition - some age consistent flaws. It shows a beautiful Patina. (PLEASE SEE PHOTOS)
