This amazing Copper Engraving is a rare find which was published in 1717. It is a true piece of history since it shows the inhabitants of Virginia and Florida at the end of the 17th Century. Pierre-Paul Sevin drew the original after which Mathieu Ogier engraved the copper plate. The four depicted people show an interesting mix of Native American and European features and are very interesting in an Ethnographic & Anthropological aspect. The engraving comes from "Nouvele Metode pour aprendre la Geographie Universele" by Antoine Phérotée de La Croix.
